Job Function and Reporting
This position falls under the Sales function and reports directly to the Zonal Sales Manager.
Role Overview
The Store Manager, stationed within the store, is accountable for the seamless management of the Airtel retail outlet. This includes ensuring strict adherence to operational guidelines, enhancing customer experience, and meeting revenue and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure store operations comply rigorously with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain the store's aesthetic and ambience as per prescribed standards.
- Oversee accurate cash management and implement measures to prevent theft, ensuring safety and security within the store.
- Execute visual merchandising according to set plans and guidelines.
- Manage inventory effectively to avoid stock shortages or excessive inventory build-up.
- Deliver timely and accurate KPI reports according to guidelines.
- Coordinate store readiness for official launches covering manpower, furniture, IT infrastructure, and device inventories.
- Oversee the closure process during store refits and conversions.
- Achieve sales targets from new customer acquisitions and upsells by improving walk-in conversion rates.
- Maintain required Management Information Systems (MIS) and track Customer Relations Officer (CRO) level data.
- Manage store expenses within the allocated budget.
- Offer recommendations to enhance store performance and productivity.
- Handle daily scheduling and briefing of outsourced store personnel.
- Address and escalate issues related to both planned and unplanned employee attrition promptly.
- Promote motivation and professional development among outsourced staff members.
- Uphold adherence to customer experience policies and guidelines.
- Allocate staff efficiently based on fluctuating customer demand.
- Directly manage challenging customer interactions as necessary.
- Propose enhancements to customer experience standards.
Required Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree such as MBA or an equivalent diploma in Business Management.
Experience
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in retail business operations.
