Job description
Position Overview
This role entails managing the daily operations of a retail fashion store, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for customers, and upholding store standards. You will lead the team to meet financial goals while maintaining a positive environment and relaying customer and product feedback to relevant parties.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive the store team to meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure shrinkage remains below 0.2% of the cost of sales through vigilant stock control.
- Conduct consistent financial and inventory audits to maintain accuracy and accountability.
- Regularly track, update, and communicate the store’s dashboard metrics.
- Maintain visual merchandising (VM) standards to attract and engage customers.
- Manage employee records including leave, passport details, performance history, conduct, and scheduling.
- Supervise daily operations such as opening and closing procedures.
- Hold frequent team meetings to discuss goals, expectations, and provide feedback.
- Enforce company policies to ensure operational compliance.
- Maintain open communication with higher management on store performance and challenges.
- Plan and implement strategies based on performance analysis to optimize results.
- Oversee back store operations and merchandise replenishment.
- Implement security protocols to prevent theft and safeguard customers and employees.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-achieving sales team.
- Monitor and control store expenses, budgets, and financial objectives.
- Foster achievement of club apparel, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and Daily Sales Effectiveness Score (DSES) targets.
- Maintain positive relationships with mall management.
- Coordinate closely with the office backend team on store activities.
- Address customer concerns swiftly to surpass expectations.
- Manage staff performance and conduct effectively.
- Continuously upgrade personal and team skills, preparing future store managers.
- Identify team learning gaps and develop solutions.
- Lead training sessions for new employees and ongoing product knowledge development.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years in increasingly responsible, customer-focused retail roles is expected, coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. Successful candidates have proven records of customer engagement and consistently meeting or surpassing sales KPIs. A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related discipline is typically preferred.
