Store Assistant

Job Overview

The Store Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the reception, storage, and distribution of food, beverage, and bar supplies. This position requires maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring inventory is well controlled and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily inventory levels of food, beverages, and bar items to maintain adequate stock.
• Ensure stock records are regularly updated and accurate.
• Receive deliveries from suppliers, inspecting the quantity and quality of received goods.
• Verify items against purchase orders and invoices for correctness.
• Properly store food, drinks, and bar supplies, maintaining cleanliness and appropriate storage temperatures.
• Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) method for the management of food products.
• Issue ingredients and bar supplies to kitchen personnel and bartenders, while recording the transactions in the stock register.
• Regularly perform stock counts on a daily or weekly basis and report any shortages or damaged goods to management.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure smooth stock operations and promptly notify management about low inventory.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in using computers, specifically Excel for inventory management.
• Strong skills in inventory control and attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and organizing stock.
