Stone Worktop Fitter

About the Role

We are seeking a Stone Worktop Fitter to join a reputable stone manufacturing company located in Galway, Ireland. This permanent, full-time opportunity involves assisting with the installation of quartz, porcelain, marble, and granite worktops on residential and commercial projects across the West of Ireland. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of relevant experience or a strong willingness to acquire new skills and advance to a Lead Fitter position.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Fitter with the installation of various stone worktops including quartz, granite, marble, and porcelain.
• Handle stone materials safely during loading, unloading, and transportation.
• Prepare kitchen cabinetry in advance of installation tasks.
• Assist in creating joints, mitres, and precise cut-outs for sinks and hobs.
• Apply silicone sealing and final finishes with high quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and a professional demeanor at the worksite.
• Follow all health and safety regulations strictly.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience installing stone worktops is preferred; training is provided for motivated individuals without experience.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling duties.
• Possession of a full, clean driving license is preferred.
• Holding a Safe Pass certification is advantageous.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.
• Enthusiastic about career progression to a Lead Fitter role.
