Job description
About the Role
The Stocking 1 Team Lead supports the management of stocking operations by addressing issues, guiding team members through training, and ensuring excellent customer service alongside efficient task execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, assisting with product inquiries and purchases, resolving issues, and escalating concerns as needed.
- Coordinate and guide daily stocking activities aligned with priorities set by the Stocking 1 and 2 Coaches and Store Management, including delegation and follow-up on VizPick processes.
- Evaluate the presentation standards of General Merchandise, Food, and Consumables departments; identify areas for improvement and implement merchandising adjustments.
- Lead daily team meetings at shift start, communicate goals and updates, and monitor team productivity.
- Collaborate with People Lead to review staff schedules and assign associates across all store departments to maintain coverage.
- Conduct area inspections with Coaching staff and associates to recognize training needs and provide ongoing development with constructive feedback.
- Promote a safe and clean workplace by adhering to company safety policies, completing safety checks, and ensuring fixtures and displays are secure.
- Complete GTA/Workday administrative tasks and provide support to management as required.
- Work alongside Coach and People Lead to facilitate performance reviews and associate development conversations; assist in recruitment and onboarding procedures.
Additional Information
