Stocker - Smallwares

About the Role

The Smallwares Stocker is responsible for ensuring that all products are properly stocked, unpacked, and continuously available for customers within the Smallwares department. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment is also key. Additionally, this role involves delivering friendly and professional service by greeting all customers upon entry and assisting with product selection and retrieval as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Stocking and unpacking products as directed by the Department Manager.
• Providing prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service within the department.
• Helping customers with loading and unloading products.
• Aiding customers by locating products and supplying detailed product information.
• Maintaining accurate shelf tags for product identification.
• Supporting cycle count processes as required.
• Keeping the working area organized, clean, and safe at all times.
• Performing additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in mathematics.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Familiarity with departmental product offerings.
• Flexibility in work hours and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain standing and walking for up to four hours without interruption.
• Strong alignment with company values and customer-focused approach.

Working Conditions

• Work environment typically involves moderate ambient temperatures.
• The role requires standing and walking extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time).
• Physical job demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds safely.
• Climbing and descending up to 15 steps using a step ladder while carrying product is required.
• Tasks involve postures such as reaching overhead, twisting the head, bending or stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Warehouse environment includes movement of industrial vehicles such as forklifts, HiLo trucks, and electric pallet jacks.
