Stocker - Aisle

Position Summary

The Stocker role entails delivering fast, polite customer assistance, organizing and replenishing shelf items, and keeping aisles tidy and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer prompt, courteous, and friendly service to customers.
• Unload boxes from pallets and stock shelves; open boxes to place individual products.
• Ensure proper product rotation to avoid expiration on shelves.
• Arrange and face merchandise neatly on shelving.
• Conduct inspections compliant with HACCP standards.
• Assist daily inventory review to minimize shrinkage and damage.
• Verify shelf pricing is accurate and current.
• Maintain cleanliness through scheduled scrubbing and cleaning beneath pallets.
• Monitor floor for safety risks; promptly and safely clean spills and remove debris including plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, etc.
• Alert supervisors to low or out-of-stock items promptly.
• Perform additional assigned duties as necessary and potentially support other departments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic literacy and numeracy abilities.

Physical Demands

• Steel toe boots are required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at various heights and distances frequently; push/pull strength up to 500 lbs horizontally.
• Agility, finger dexterity, and manual dexterity rated at 80-100%.
• Posture requirements include constant standing/walking, frequent bending/stooping, occasional shoulder-level reaching, twisting, climbing stairs or ladders, and kneeling or squatting.

Work Setting

• Environment includes moderate temperatures and exposure to refrigerated/freezer areas; temperature near receiving and front-end varies with outdoor conditions.
• Presence of moving equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
