About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in a busy retail environment. This position involves unloading delivery trailers, sorting merchandise, and transporting pallets onto the store floor while ensuring a safe and orderly workspace. The role supports overall store operations and contributes directly to delivering an excellent customer shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately picking and preparing customer orders from various temperature-regulated areas to support timely delivery, ensuring the right products and quantities are selected and packed.
- Inspecting product quality, rejecting damaged or unsuitable items, and completing correct documentation and labeling such as pick slips and shipping labels.
- Efficiently packing totes by optimizing space usage while maintaining product safety and quality standards.
- Assisting customers and collaborating with team members, balancing order fulfillment duties with customer interaction and problem resolution.
- Upholding safety protocols, food hygiene, and cleanliness standards by promptly cleaning spills, ensuring totes are sanitized, safely operating equipment, and performing safety checks.
- Demonstrating flexibility by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and maintain smooth operations.
Challenges in the Role
- Managing a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced setting, including overnight shifts, to ensure efficient restocking and product recovery.
- Maintaining physical endurance through extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting inventory up to 50 lbs., while performing repetitive stocking and organizing tasks diligently.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $15.50.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old.
