Stock Unloader Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers a hands-on opportunity to thrive in a fast-moving retail setting. You'll play an essential role by unloading shipments, organizing merchandise, and supporting store operations to ensure a smooth retail environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and reset the Receiving Area and unload merchandise trailers, including completing live unloading of merchandise.
• Handle merchandise carefully, uphold cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen goods, and move pallets to the sales floor overnight.
• Assist in stocking the sales floor and provide customer service as needed to enhance the shopping experience.
• Label and organize overstock inventory in specified areas for efficient management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety logs, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges of the Role

• Manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, overnight environment, maintaining energy and accuracy throughout the shift.
• Meet physical demands such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with diligence to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $16.90 per hour.
