Job description

Role Overview

This full-time Stock Keeper position is part of the Supply Chain and Logistics team responsible for overseeing both the physical handling and systematic tracking of equipment, materials, tools, products, and overall inventory. The role involves leveraging ERP systems and other company tools to manage all supply chain tasks at the site level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all documentation related to site inventory control.
  • Perform regular cycle counts of tools and inventory to comply with company policies.
  • Organize materials on shelves, racks, or bins based on size, type, color, or product codes, meeting warehouse organizational needs.
  • Process requisitions, work orders, and material movements as requested by the warehouse.
  • Record weights and counts of materials to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure smooth tool circulation, including prompt return and support of tool calibration.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving responsibilities, including prioritization of urgent orders.
  • Inspect, weigh, load, document, and transport hazardous materials and waste according to company policies.
  • Verify accuracy of material consumption in orders.
  • Provide training on inventory procedures to both current staff and new hires.
  • Complete projects assigned by the Site Manager and collaborate with Supply Chain Recovery Team (SCRT) members.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Kanban fulfillment practices.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials is advantageous.
  • Strong communication capabilities and flexibility to cooperate within a team environment.

Physical Requirements

This position requires consistent lifting of items up to 50 pounds using proper methods, pushing or pulling forces up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders with proper fall protection, and operating vehicles and forklifts. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, high-visibility clothing, steel-toe boots, gloves, and radios are mandatory during tasks.

Additional Information

A $3,300 CAD sign-on bonus is offered for this role. Candidates must be prepared to wear required PPE throughout their tasks and maintain reliable attendance regardless of inclement weather. Forklift certification or other material handling equipment training may be required.
