State Compliance Lead

Overview

We are looking for an experienced State Compliance Lead to oversee adherence to statutory regulations within our organization. This role demands a legal background with proven expertise in compliance management and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders to ensure timely compliance across the state.

Responsibilities

• Monitor comprehensive compliance with statutory requirements continuously, communicate obligations to relevant parties, address stakeholder queries, ensure timely adherence, and regularly report compliance status.
• Keep abreast of relevant legal and regulatory updates, assist the reporting manager by mapping these obligations into the Compliance Monitoring System for stakeholder awareness.
• Promote compliance consciousness throughout the operational circle through regular awareness initiatives.
• Perform scheduled compliance audits, coordinate necessary remedial measures, and oversee the completion of these actions within defined timelines.
• Manage the Notice Management System to guarantee prompt resolution of all statutory notices.
• Collaborate closely with functional heads and various stakeholders to establish and maintain effective compliance and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• Possess a law degree (LLB).
• Have 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in compliance including statutory laws and regulatory environments.

Key Skills

• Expertise in statutory laws and compliance leadership.
• Knowledge of regulatory updates and their implementation.
• Experience in Financial Control & Audit processes.
• Familiarity with taxation laws relevant to compliance.
