Job Overview

This role involves delivering specialized technical expertise to design and implement methodologies that address both internal and external client requirements within the department. You will oversee the creation of integrated programming solutions covering all statistical programming needs and offer leadership and advisory services to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and supervise complex study programming activities including writing, testing, and documenting statistical programs for tables, figures, and listings.
• Develop and manage analysis databases and coordinate data transfers for clients, including performing quality control checks on databases.
• Lead integration projects by programming and combining databases from various studies or different data sources.
• Create and oversee programming documentation such as plans and specifications for advanced studies.
• Offer advanced technical guidance and create innovative project solutions independently while collaborating with internal and external clients.
• Plan and coordinate development and validation of new technologies, macros, and software applications.
• Manage statistical team lead responsibilities for single or multiple complex studies.
• Understand project scopes, budgets, and estimates; manage out-of-scope work and resource forecasting; possibly oversee budgets and revenue projections for projects.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and experience.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Expert proficiency in computing tools such as Base SAS, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro Language.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
