Job Summary

This role involves leading improvements in the stamping process by diagnosing and resolving production challenges, aiding in tool design, and training personnel to achieve targets related to quality, productivity, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced stamping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot stamping-related issues to meet productivity, quality, and cost goals.
• Assist in evaluating stamping tool designs for new product development to guarantee manufacturability.
• Work closely with the Production Team to fulfill operational objectives.
• Define process capabilities, optimize parameters, and prepare cost assessments, Bill of Materials, and work instructions for dies and related processes.
• Develop and recommend cost-saving or enhancement initiatives to improve quality and competitiveness for current and future stamping requirements.
• Offer technical guidance and training to Toolmakers and Production Technicians to ensure efficient operations.
• Lead and train a team comprising Toolmakers and Production Technicians to uphold high performance levels.
• Adhere to safety protocols and encourage safe work practices within the stamping area.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering or NTC II certification in Tool and Die Making.
• Diploma holders must have at least 5 years of experience in a high-speed stamping environment.
• NTC II holders should possess a minimum of 15 years’ experience in die maintenance and stamping.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting die and part drawings.
• Knowledgeable in metal forming and die making/die maintenance.
