Department Overview

The Senior Solutions Architect role drives the transformation of employee technology support from reactive responses into predictive detection, safe self-healing, and enhanced enablement. This position translates service needs into comprehensive cross-platform architecture, reusable design patterns, and practical implementation guidance. Collaborating across engineering, operations, platform, security, and architecture teams, the architect ensures transparent technical decision-making and oversees solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical exploration for complex, multi-platform employee technology projects, defining target architectures, integration methods, and implementation strategies.
• Develop workflows covering service and endpoint signals through detection, diagnosis, authorized remediation, escalation, and recording of outcomes.
• Establish reusable standards for APIs, identity management, data handling, observability, testing procedures, rollback strategies, and operational accountability in automation.
• Evaluate build versus buy decisions and apply emerging AI technologies, balancing employee value, technical feasibility, security, and maintenance.
• Specify integration patterns among platforms such as ServiceNow, Moveworks, Jira, Slack, Nexthink, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph.
• Create reference designs for API integration, event management, identity and access control, data minimization, workflow orchestration, and reuse across employee technologies.
• Collaborate with platform owners to ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and operational standards, and clarify dependencies and ownership.
• Guide solution designs that synthesize endpoint telemetry, service histories, and employee context, recognizing the limitations of signals and automation.
• Design a broad portfolio of use cases including proactive detection, guided self-service, assisted support, and controlled self-healing, ensuring appropriate response selection.
• Develop safeguards for AI-enhanced workflows covering source reliability, review processes, auditability, and handling uncertain or failed outcomes.
• Implement measurement methodologies with service owners to distinguish automation execution, resolution impact, employee experience, and verified support demand changes.
• Conduct focused proof-of-concept evaluations for new technologies, advising on adoption, improvement, or deferment.
• Direct design and review of advanced Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and API components where high architectural risk or reuse potential exists.
• Set standards for code quality, version control, testing, performance, reliability, and documentation across automation projects.
• Review high-impact solution designs, resolve architectural conflicts, and engage with security and platform teams.
• Provide reference designs, decision logs, and implementation guidance to engineering teams.
• Prototype critical integration components to validate feasibility and inform production development.
• Mentor engineering personnel and contribute to the strategic roadmap for employee technology.

Candidate Profile

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing enterprise integrations or automation spanning multiple teams and platforms.
• Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions and guide solutions from concept through operational deployment.
• Expertise in APIs, scripting or software development, security controls, system reliability, and operational design principles.
• Effective communicator proficient in explaining technical tradeoffs among engineering, operations, platform, and business stakeholders.
• Academic degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience authoring reference architectures and guiding multi-platform engineering efforts without direct management authority.
• Capability to evaluate AI-powered automation for safety, quality, maintainability, and demonstrable service benefits.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with digital workplace and service platforms including ServiceNow, Nexthink, Moveworks, Jamf, Intune, Microsoft 365, Jira, or Slack.
• Experience with AI-assisted service workflows, cloud services, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
