This position drives proactive support by enabling early issue detection and reliable, replicable resolution while ensuring the solutions are simple to maintain and operate. Collaborating closely with senior engineers, platform owners, and support teams, this role develops specified components and continuously enhances these based on operational feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Create scripts, develop API integrations, configure workflows, and adjust platform settings tailored to employee technology use cases.
- Execute predefined detection mechanisms and approved remediation processes with integrated validation checks, comprehensive error management, detailed logging, and escalation protocols for unresolved cases.
- Design and perform tests, document all configurations, operating procedures, limitations, and recovery methods.
- Oversee assigned system components, diagnose defects, and enhance dependability and user experience by incorporating production insights.
- Construct and sustain integrations and workflows spanning various employee technology systems such as ServiceNow, Moveworks, Jira, Slack, Nexthink, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph.
- Utilize documented APIs and integration models to align data, manage authentication and handle typical failure scenarios, ensuring appropriate action and outcome tracking.
- Contribute reusable coding assets, connectors, and comprehensive documentation to be leveraged by fellow engineers.
- Deploy detection, self-service, support, and remediation workflows with well-defined eligibility criteria, logging, exception management, and escalation routes.
- Implement or integrate sanctioned AI-assisted steps, thoroughly test them with representative data, and submit any ambiguous or erroneous outcomes for assessment.
- Confirm whether workflows execute correctly and achieve their technical objectives, assisting service owners in evaluating user impact.
- Develop maintainable code using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages suited to the platforms and tasks.
- Adhere to engineering best practices including source control, automated testing, code reviews, deployment protocols, and runbook maintenance to ensure operational safety.
- Investigate and resolve defects across owned components and consult senior engineers on design or security issues that cross platform boundaries.
- Offer technical insights and detailed implementation contributions during solution design phases and code review sessions.
- Observe and abide by established architectural, security, and engineering standards while promptly raising design or policy queries.
- Collaborate with operations staff and platform owners to verify requirements and formally transfer completed deliverables.
- Share practical lessons learned, reusable modules, and technical knowledge within the engineering team.
