Role Overview
We seek a motivated and skilled engineer to join the Platform Hosting Cloud Security Engineering team at SIE. The role centers on enhancing the security posture of the PlayStation platform by developing tools, processes, and frameworks that protect and provide visibility into our cloud environments while ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement robust security controls within PlayStation's cloud infrastructure.
- Identify vulnerabilities and security gaps, leading the enhancement of security tooling and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to specify system requirements and integrate cloud-based security solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and applications that embed security into deployment pipelines utilizing DevSecOps methodologies.
- Create automation tools for auditing, securing, and managing changes across multi-cloud platforms.
- Promote platform reliability through automated protective mechanisms and tools.
- Produce comprehensive documentation covering security designs, procedures, and recommendations; regularly review and update security policies.
- Mentor engineering staff at various levels, guiding secure design practices.
- Champion security and privacy best practices organization-wide.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 7+ years' experience in cloud security, security engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
- Hands-on expertise securing cloud infrastructures, especially on AWS and/or GCP platforms.
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST and PCI DSS.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages including Python and Go.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and automated deployment pipelines.
- History of building comprehensive enterprise-level systems.
- Practical use of security tools such as Wiz and AI-based coding tools like Codex.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- Professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security) or equivalent passion for security technology are advantageous.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is approximately €87,800 to €131,800 EUR annually and may adjust based on hybrid work policies and individual qualifications. The role includes eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package featuring paid time off, wellness programs, and exclusive discounts on Sony products. Bonuses may also be available.
