About the Role
An established global cybersecurity software company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their newly created Identity team based in Dublin. This role focuses on building robust identity security features that safeguard enterprise clients as AI agents, service accounts, and automated workloads transform system access methodologies. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position responsible for architecture, code development, and guiding engineering efforts. Collaborate closely with Security Research and Data Science teams to convert new security challenges into reliable production solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery pipeline from identity data ingestion to the presentation of actionable security insights to customers.
- Define how the product models identities, permissions, behaviors, and associated risks.
- Develop functionalities that encompass human user accounts, AI-driven agents, and machine identities.
- Lead the design of complex systems, actively contribute to codebases, and provide mentorship to experienced engineers.
- Utilize technologies including Python, AWS, Terraform, and AI-driven engineering tools.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven track record in production-level software engineering within a product-focused environment.
- Direct hands-on experience in constructing identity or security-related capabilities.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing architectures, and technical leadership roles.
- Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms, authorization processes, credential management, and permissions frameworks.
- Relevant experience working with AI agents, service accounts, or machine/workload identities.
- Preferred experience includes familiarity with Entra ID, OAuth/OIDC protocols, or security telemetry solutions.
