Lead Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join a pioneering global AI-driven SaaS company specializing in risk intelligence. This position is the first of its kind in Ireland and offers a fast track to leadership within a growing international technology organization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models, data pipelines, and scalable analytics solutions that deliver predictive insights across domains such as financial risk, cyber risk, operational risk, ESG, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and optimize machine learning models and data pipelines.
• Analyze complex datasets to build predictive and classification models that address various risk categories.
• Enhance data quality, automate processes, and improve modeling workflows.
• Translate complicated business problems into scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
• Deploy, monitor, and fine-tune machine learning algorithms running in production environments.
• Research and integrate new AI technologies and methodologies.
• Establish and lead the Data Science team and capabilities in Ireland with growth opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in Data Science or Machine Learning with robust Python programming skills.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, database management, and data engineering fundamentals.
• Proven experience in production deployment of machine learning models.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in leadership, mentoring, or technical leadership roles is highly advantageous.
• Highly motivated to rapidly progress into a leadership position within Data Science.
