Staff / Senior Staff Engineer - Digital Design

About the Role

Join Infineon's Research & Development team as a Digital Design Engineer responsible for advancing technology through innovative digital design and test solutions. You'll have the chance to influence how the world connects and powers forward by contributing to key projects focused on Automotive Ethernet products and cutting-edge DFT techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Design-for-Test (DFT) instruments using advanced Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools such as MBIST, OCC, TAP controller, Boundary Scan, LBIST, SSN, EDT, among others.
• Integrate DFT instruments and verify associated test functions utilizing industrial-grade simulation tools and proprietary in-house verification platforms.
• Conduct rule checking and debugging of DFT implementations at both block and chip levels across various testing modes.
• Automate the generation and verification of test patterns to streamline testing flows.
• Assist in debugging test patterns on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) machines and perform failure analysis activities.
• Engage in research and development of advanced DFT methods tailored to Automotive Ethernet products.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines with foundational knowledge in digital logic design and computer architecture.
• A minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in digital DFT design including logic simulation, synthesis, formal verification, ATE testing, and silicon failure analysis.
• Strong background in ASIC development processes.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting along with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, and Make to support automation and verification tasks.
• A keen passion for technology, adaptable mindset, goal-oriented approach, and collaborative team spirit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
