Product at Blinq

The Product team creates seamless, memorable experiences that help users introduce themselves, leave strong first impressions, and nurture lasting connections. The focus is on making quick greetings evolve into meaningful relationships.

Role & Impact

As Staff Product Designer, you'll help define the next phase of Blinq by addressing complex and often ambiguous challenges. After simplifying initial introductions, Blinq now explores aiding users in finding the right connections, understanding context, retaining information about people they meet, and turning first interactions into enduring relationships. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and company founders, elevating product strategy and design craftsmanship company-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage problems comprehensively from opportunity framing through exploration, prototyping, validation, and maintaining high-quality launch experiences.
• Design new foundational products and user interactions covering moments before, during, and after meetings.
• Work deeply with Product and Engineering to challenge assumptions, balance trade-offs, and influence both product direction and execution.
• Simplify complex systems and edge cases into intuitive, distinctive experiences aligned with Blinq’s brand.
• Balance depth and speed in decision-making by aligning with teammates on problem needs and maintaining quality despite imperfect information.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record owning complex, ambiguous, or greenfield product issues end-to-end.
• Outstanding visual, interaction, and product design skills combined with systems thinking ability to simplify complexity.
• Strong product insight and capacity to influence senior leadership via thoughtful design and strategic thinking.
• Comfort operating with minimal guidance; curiosity, decisiveness, and energy for identifying problems and navigating strategy to execution.
• Leadership through influence: providing clarity, constructive feedback, and elevating peers in design and product teams.
