Role Overview

The role focuses on the Windows Copilot+ PCs utilizing Snapdragon technology, spearheading advancements in AI, graphics, multimedia, connectivity, power, and performance. As a Field Application Engineer for the Windows Copilot+ PC Ecosystem, your primary responsibility is to drive adoption and commercialization of Windows on Snapdragon Compute platforms within the commercial sector, with a strong emphasis on pre-sales support and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Qualcomm’s global Compute Go-To-Market strategy effectively.
• Provide comprehensive troubleshooting support to enterprise customers involving BIOS and driver-level issues.
• Debug enterprise application challenges, collaborating internally with platform and technology teams to replicate, analyze, and resolve problems.
• Diagnose root causes of application issues across customer software and hardware environments.
• Engage with the Snapdragon ecosystem to address and analyze technical issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in application development, debugging, and testing using C/C++ with an understanding of embedded systems software.
• Experience working within Windows 10/11 environments, including use of related debugging tools.
• Expertise in driver debugging methods and strong problem-solving and documentation capabilities.
• Familiar with debugging utilities such as WinDbg and Microsoft Trace tool.
• Knowledgeable about Windows OS internals, including driver development and command-line tools like PowerShell.
• Strong programming proficiency in C/C++; experience in Windows application development is advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant software application engineering or development experience.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 2+ years of pertinent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting Windows 10/11 independently with robust problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrable experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• At least 1 year of experience applying debugging techniques.
• Between 5 to 8 years of professional experience including application engineering or field application engineering focused on Windows 10/11 OS.
• Ability to replicate and analyze customer-side issues and provide remote technical support through internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales management, adept at driving change and collaborating effectively across organizations and client base.
• Track record of building complex solutions and facilitating new device adoption in commercial accounts.
• Previous involvement supporting the launch of new technologies or products.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and advocate internally and externally.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
