Job Overview

Google Cloud is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in Developer AI to work onsite in Singapore. This role involves embedding directly with client teams to bridge cutting-edge AI innovations and practical production environments, crafting bespoke agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud’s platform.

Location and Eligibility

Applicants based in Singapore with a valid right to work without visa sponsorship will be prioritized. Candidates may also express a preference for locations including Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Mumbai in India.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or analogous fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least eight years of demonstrated experience in cloud computing or technical customer-facing roles.
• Proven track record deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting Large Language Model (LLM) or agent-based systems in production, including handling orchestration, memory management, evaluation, tracing, and cost/latency profiling.
• Experience in end-to-end technical project ownership involving executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in AI, Computer Science, or closely related technical discipline.
• Proficiency with multi-agent system implementations using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Agent Development Kit (ADK), and complex solution patterns like ReAct, self-reflection, and hierarchical delegation.
• Expertise working with agent frameworks and harness layers such as Google’s ADK, protocol-level integrations (MCP, Agent-to-Agent), and cross-ISV platform security within DevSecOps.
• Strong understanding of LLM-specific metrics (e.g., tokens per second, cost per request) and strategies for optimizing state management and detailed tracing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade AI applications that evolve rapid prototypes into complex agentic workflows that deliver measurable business value.
• Architect and implement integration layers between Google AI products and customers’ operational infrastructures, APIs, and security systems as part of a specialized team.
• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable agentic developer workflows on Google Cloud's AI stack including large-scale code refactoring and automation pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with client engineering staff to identify and resolve core process bottlenecks such as migration challenges, test coverage gaps, and code review delays, defining clear success metrics.
• Integrate Google agentic capabilities within existing third-party software ecosystems (e.g., GitLab, ServiceNow, Slack) using industry protocols like MCP and Agent-to-Agent communication.
