The Limerick facility features advanced 200mm clean rooms and mixed-signal fabrication areas, focusing on novel material processing. The Backend Fabrication Engineering group is seeking a Process Engineer who will support manufacturing processes by managing process and equipment controls, tool qualifications, continuous improvements, developing new wafer-level technologies, and integrating processes from other sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead continuous enhancement efforts for existing volume manufacturing processes, layers, and tools, collaborating with equipment and manufacturing teams.
• Analyze root causes for yield challenges, process excursions, and equipment downtime, then implement corrective and robust solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to define and evolve new wafer-level capabilities aligned with the technology roadmap.
• Set standards for equipment and process operations across shifts and engineering groups, working closely with equipment shift supervisors.
• Regularly review safety, quality, output, and value metrics related to equipment and processes, driving improvement initiatives.
• Develop expertise in key technology and equipment platform changes within the assigned area.
• Manage capital acquisition processes including tool definition, selection, installation, and qualification for new or existing technologies.
• Ensure safety compliance across toolsets and represent the company at relevant business and technical conferences.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics, Electronics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Practical experience (3+ years) in semiconductor processing areas such as Etch, Lithography, Deposition, Epitaxial growth, Wet Chemistry, Ion Implantation, or Diffusion.
• Strong technical problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in data-driven approaches applying scientific and engineering principles.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
