Job Summary
Join onsemi as a Staff Digital Verification Engineer within the TREO platform team, focusing on the verification of top-level digital subsystem IP tailored for next-generation automotive and intelligent power applications. This position demands profound knowledge in advanced verification techniques, a solid grasp of digital design fundamentals, and close collaboration with analog and mixed-signal teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct verification of digital top-level subsystem IP in the TREO platform to ensure effective functionality and performance across diverse scenarios.
- Create and execute constrained random verification environments leveraging SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
- Design and implement key testbench components such as scoreboards, monitors, stimulus generators, and checkers.
- Define, assess, and track functional and code coverage metrics to reach verification objectives.
- Apply formal verification methods where suitable and integrate them into workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues bridging digital and mixed-signal domains.
- Collaborate with digital design, analog/mixed-signal teams, and system architects to refine strategies.
- Contribute to enhancing verification approaches, emphasizing reuse and scalability.
- Utilize simulation and debugging tools like Mentor/Siemens Questa.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Have minimum five years of industry experience in digital verification.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog, UVM, and constrained random verification methods.
- Experienced with formal verification techniques and digital design principles including RTL design, timing, and interfaces.
- Skilled in testbench architecture, including scoreboards, monitors, and checkers, as well as functional and code coverage methodologies.
- Familiarity with Questa or comparable simulation platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across digital and analog/mixed-signal interfaces.
- Preferred knowledge includes automotive or high-reliability semiconductor verification, mixed-signal verification challenges, AI-based verification flows (coverage acceleration, intelligent stimulus generation, debug automation), modern verification flows for subsystem or SoC designs, and automation scripting with Python or Tcl.
