Role Overview

As a Staff AI Data Scientist, you will assume a senior technical leadership role, spearheading the creation of autonomous agentic AI colleagues, multi-step reasoning frameworks, and robust, enterprise-grade workflows. Your responsibility includes architecting LLM-driven systems that can plan, decide, and act with safety and scalability, while also setting the technical standards guiding our AI platform's development and influence across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy sophisticated LLM-based systems featuring planning, tool integration, workflow management, and reasoning functions.
• Leverage machine learning and advanced analytics to support decision-making within autonomous AI agents.
• Improve multi-step reasoning accuracy, manage context, and optimize agent performance tailored to complex enterprise applications.
• Lead initiatives related to MLOps including system evaluation, benchmarking, safety assessments, and quality control for autonomous AI implementations.
• Define and oversee long-term technical strategies for AI frameworks, compliance, and scalable deployment organization-wide.
• Provide technical guidance and advisory support to engineering, product, and executive teams on production-level AI co-worker systems utilized by global clients.
• Establish best practices, mentor and elevate data science team members at all levels to advance organizational scientific and engineering standards.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in a quantitative field.
• Demonstrable history of delivering impactful, production-ready machine learning solutions within complex settings, ideally with experience leading technical teams or influencing strategic direction.
• Strong foundation in NLP techniques including transformers, LSTMs, CNNs, topic modeling, and supervised learning.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of large language model orchestration tools, such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, along with experience in retrieval-augmented generation, multi-agent systems, and tool-calling architectures.
• Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development; experience with other programming languages and software development is also highly valued.
• Exceptional communication capabilities to clearly explain complex concepts and persuade executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exhibit curiosity, humility, and strong personal ownership for outcomes.
