Specialist Pathologist

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Specialist Pathologist to join a premier healthcare institution in the UAE. This role focuses on laboratory medicine, diagnostic pathology, and clinical specimen analysis to aid accurate diagnosis and guide effective patient treatment.

Key Duties

• Analyze and interpret clinical specimens such as tissue, blood, and fluids.
• Conduct and report on histopathology, cytology, and other laboratory investigations.
• Provide precise diagnostic reports that facilitate sound clinical decisions.
• Review pathology results in the context of clinical and imaging data.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions and tumor board meetings as needed.
• Carry out or oversee special staining techniques, immunohistochemistry, and other diagnostic methods.
• Ensure laboratory results are delivered with high quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Work collaboratively with clinicians, surgeons, oncologists, and laboratory personnel.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of pathology cases.
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, audits, and ongoing professional education.

Qualifications and Experience

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Postgraduate certification in Pathology such as MD, DNB, or FCPS.
• At least 3 years of experience following specialization in pathology.
• Competency in diagnostic pathology and laboratory medicine.
• Solid understanding of histopathology and cytopathology.
• Familiarity with immunohistochemistry and other advanced diagnostic techniques is advantageous.
• Strong skills in analysis, diagnosis, and communication.
