Job description
Role Overview
The Licensing Administration Specialist will oversee all commercial facets of licensing agreements, such as contracts, royalty payments, and compliance issues. This role is pivotal in fostering robust relationships with licensees, ensuring the accuracy of financial processes, and contributing to business development by identifying new licensee partnerships. The specialist ensures that commercial outcomes align with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer licensing contracts, including conducting negotiations, managing renewals, and processing modifications.
- Monitor licensees' production and sales data to verify precise royalty computations and adherence to licensing terms.
- Coordinate with finance departments to facilitate prompt and correct royalty invoicing and payment collections.
- Maintain and nurture strong partnerships with licensees to support ongoing collaboration.
- Identify and cultivate new licensing prospects to broaden the company’s market reach.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams to ensure invoicing, reporting, and financial reconciliation are properly executed.
- Supervise logistics related to asset handling, such as gauges and tools, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
- Ensure all licensing activities comply with contractual obligations, internal policies, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Develop and provide commercial performance reports, dashboards, and forecasts regarding licensing operations.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in licensing administration or roles within the Oil & Gas sector.
