Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital (SSBZH), part of this consortium, serves the Northern Emirates with advanced medical infrastructure and multidisciplinary expertise aimed at outstanding clinical results and community health needs.

We are currently recruiting a Specialist in General Surgery to strengthen our surgical team at SSBZH. This position focuses on delivering comprehensive surgical care spanning patient assessment, diagnosis, perioperative management, operative interventions, and post-operative recovery monitoring. The role demands close collaboration with healthcare professionals to uphold superior clinical quality, patient safety, and care standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with various general surgical conditions.
• Carry out elective and emergency surgeries within authorized clinical privileges.
• Perform detailed preoperative assessments and prepare personalized treatment strategies.
• Deliver comprehensive perioperative and post-surgical care to optimize outcomes.
• Handle surgical emergencies and participate actively in on-call rotations.
• Analyze and review diagnostic data pertinent to surgical care.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation of patient interactions, surgical procedures, and treatment plans.
• Work seamlessly with anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health teams to ensure integrated patient management.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and compliance with international clinical protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program specializing in General Surgery.
• Specialist certification in General Surgery as recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
• At least 5 years of experience practicing as a General Surgeon post-specialization.
• Possession of a Department of Health (DOH) License or DOH eligibility as a Specialist in General Surgery.
• Proven experience managing both elective and emergency general surgical interventions.
• Excellent clinical acumen, proficient surgical technique, and the capability to thrive in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
