Job description

Role Summary

The Specialist, CAPEX is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process for Capital Expenditure, ensuring strict adherence to company procedures and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all activities associated with Capital Expenditure purchases, including critical assessment of technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define vendor lists and requirements.
  • Engage with both local and international suppliers to enhance supplier quality and liquidity.
  • Coordinate with Legal departments when confidential information is involved in project scopes.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deadlines responsibly.
  • Participate in meetings with vendors and internal clients to ensure alignment.
  • Send out requests for quotation and bid invitations to external vendors.
  • Evaluate and analyze incoming offers thoroughly.
  • Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders efficiently.
  • Negotiate pricing, purchase terms, conditions, and warranties with external providers under the guidance of superiors.
  • Recommend the best offers that balance technical, commercial, and financial advantages.
  • Issue purchase orders, release orders, or contracts promptly within allocated timeframes.
  • Ensure purchased products meet specified requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Build and maintain ethical business relationships with vendors and internal clients.
  • Contribute actively to setting procurement objectives and formulating action plans.
  • Strictly comply with all company policies, legal regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Oversee the entire purchasing lifecycle from request to payment completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation that fully complies with policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular analyses, prepare reports that help in cost reduction and savings.
  • Take responsibility for achieving key procurement performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the preparation and upkeep of standard reports related to budgeting, forecasting, and cost savings.
  • Ensure all purchase orders and contracts are acknowledged and executed within required timelines.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by superiors that align with company ethics and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, data science, commerce, or related fields. A minimum of three years' experience in procurement is required.
