Job description
Overview
This position is principally accountable for managing and overseeing Agency back-office functions to ensure efficient workflow and deliver high-quality, timely service to internal stakeholders by acting as both processor and authorizer.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain precise records and manage all Agency back-office operations, including monitoring borrowing statuses, preparing new borrowings, rollovers, rate sets, conversions, repayments, and prepayments.
- Serve as primary coordinator and contact point for clients, lenders, and business partners concerning facilities where the bank acts as Agent or Arranger.
- Conduct reporting, reconciliation, and associated support tasks diligently.
- Collaborate closely with Agency middle office and other internal parties to ensure prompt processing of all loan-related matters.
Key Accountabilities
- Adhere strictly to departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions ensuring controlled, consistent task execution.
- Uphold organizational values and ethics to strengthen a culture based on these principles.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvements for systems, processes, and practices, targeting productivity gains and cost reduction aligned with global best practices.
- Assist in furnishing timely, accurate statements and reports meeting department standards.
- Aim for zero operational losses, no near-miss or income leakage incidents, and no high-risk errors.
- Maintain zero unauthorized policy or regulatory breaches, achieve excellent audit outcomes, and uphold flawless housekeeping and reconciliation standards.
- Support multiple desks and functions while driving process enhancements, ensuring all changes are documented and approved.
- Demonstrate expertise in payment platforms such as SWIFT and UAEFTS including message formats MT and MX.
- Authorize interest and fee payments from both borrower and lender perspectives, including agency and amendment fees.
- Handle payments, advances, payoffs, rate modifications, and other loan-related maintenance activities within the agency portfolio.
- Apply specialized knowledge of policies, laws, and regulations to resolve escalated issues effectively.
- Perform monthly general ledger reconciliation and verification according to Group policies.
- Support loan servicing functions, departmental projects, and system-related testing, upgrades, and enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Between six to eight years of relevant banking experience, progressively advancing with approving authority within Agency facility roles.
