Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality preparation and inspection of development faces to ensure safe and efficient drilling activities
• Repair, replace, and extend underground mine services, such as 4” and 2” poly piping, ventilation, and dewatering systems
• Safely install and maintain underground services following site standards and procedures
• Operate and uphold maintenance of underground machinery safely according to established guidelines
• Perform truck driving and mine cleanup tasks as needed
• Provide backup support for development charging operations when required
• Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to complete tasks safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records and documentation complying with legal and site requirements
• Positively contribute to team dynamics and support achievement of operational KPIs, targets, and budgets
• Consistently practice safety compliance, proactively identify hazards, and resolve operational issues

Requirements and Eligibility

• Valid manual driver’s licence
• Current Volvo and/or CAT IT ticket or equivalent site-specific certification
• Proven experience in underground mining and mine services
• Strong dedication to safety with the ability to operate independently and within teams
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities under pressure
• Possession or ability to obtain a Police Clearance and/or Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC) is highly preferred
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical examinations including drug and alcohol tests

This position involves residential shift work on a continuous 7-day on/7-day off day and night roster, enabling daily return home and work-life balance.
