Spa Therapist

Position Overview

Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Spa Therapist in Doha, Qatar, delivering exceptional massage and body treatment services to our guests using specialized products and techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring guest comfort and safety while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, promoting services, and adhering to company policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Offer professional massage therapies and body treatments including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, tailored to guest needs and preferences.
• Evaluate guests’ health conditions to identify contraindications such as allergies or pregnancy before starting any treatment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current massage techniques and therapy modalities.
• Escort guests to treatment areas, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure all workstations are clean and sanitized throughout the shift.
• Engage with guests to ensure their comfort, safety, and security during treatments, regularly checking in to enhance their experience.
• Promote and sell spa and salon services along with retail products related to the spa.
• Adhere strictly to hygiene standards by cleaning tools, disposing of waste, managing linens, and securing supplies at shift end.
• Effectively manage time schedules and handle guest misconduct by following established Marriott procedures, including stopping treatment if necessary.
• Maintain all required licenses and complete safety training; report any workplace accidents or hazards promptly.
• Comply with company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and support company asset protection.
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate needs, communicate professionally, and foster positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Be physically capable to perform job duties including standing or sitting for prolonged periods, lifting or manipulating objects up to 10 pounds, and exhibiting fine motor coordination.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma or degree is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of related professional experience is required.
• Possession of a valid state or regional massage license is mandatory.
• No supervisory experience required.
