Job description

About Partly

Partly is headquartered in Austin, Texas with additional offices in London, Christchurch, and Auckland. The company builds AI infrastructure for the global automotive repair industry, focusing on the $2 trillion market by developing AI models like Interpreter to assess vehicle damage and needed parts, used by thousands of businesses worldwide. Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, Partly has grown rapidly, recently closing a $50 million Series B funding round led by DST Global and other major investors. The company values a culture of excellence and personal growth.

Your Role as Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer on the Dismantler Commerce team, you will bridge the gap between Partly and its customers by aligning industry needs with technical solutions. You will manage diverse projects, gain valuable hands-on experience, and lead research initiatives to enhance customer experience for a key client segment. This role demands a passion for automotive, skill with large datasets, and a strong aptitude for quickly grasping technical concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a power-user of Partly’s inventory management system (Partly PIM) and related apps to fully understand customer usage and needs.
  • Design, develop, and implement user-centric solutions on the Partly Platform to drive excellent customer success and smooth onboarding.
  • Develop system integrations to enhance functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering team by providing clear specifications and feedback during product testing and improvement phases.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in a STEM field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Python, Pandas, and SQL.
  • Strong logical, structured problem-solving approach with a demonstrated interest in innovation.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment while staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Bonus: Opportunity to participate with Partly Racing in the NZ GT Championship 2024/25 season.

Benefits

  • Healthy catered lunches daily at offices in Auckland, Christchurch, London, and Austin, including snacks and drinks.
  • $1,500 annual wellness allowance for health-related expenses.
  • Three months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers plus a flexible return-to-work plan offering four days a week at full pay for the first three months back.
  • Modern, architecturally designed office environments promoting collaboration, with access to quality cafes and coffee.
  • Commuting support through paid parking or allowance for regular office attendees.
  • Office-first culture with flexible scheduling to balance life and work for teams in office cities.
  • Immediate access to annual and sick leave, with trust-based management of time off even allowing negative leave balances.
  • Regular team events such as weekly happy hours, monthly lunches, quarterly company-wide gatherings, and an annual global offsite.
  • Charitable giving program where donations to approved charities are supplemented by 33% from the company.
  • Equity participation via share options with a 4-year vesting schedule and favorable exercise terms.
