Role Overview
The Solutions Engineer will lead the delivery of LogicMonitor's Professional Services technical solutions for both new and existing clients. This role involves close collaboration with customers and internal teams such as Customer Success, Technical Support, and Training. Responsibilities include crafting sophisticated LogicMonitor configurations, conducting discovery and deployment sessions, and communicating product insights back to development teams. The Solutions Engineer acts as a subject matter expert, guiding customers towards best practices and optimizing their IT monitoring strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end implementation projects of varying scales to ensure seamless LogicMonitor solution delivery.
- Collaborate with project and customer success managers for smooth engagement initiation and transitions.
- Facilitate both remote and onsite sessions for discovery, design, and deployment to boost platform adoption.
- Promote and apply industry best practices to refine customer LogicMonitor configurations.
- Use REST APIs and scripting to automate repetitive and bulk operational tasks, enhancing efficiency.
- Detect and communicate product gaps, feature requests, and issues to Product and Development teams.
- Design and develop customized scripted solutions using LogicMonitor functionalities and external systems.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with co-workers and customers to foster expertise.
- Support Monitoring Engineering in LogicModule development occasionally and assist Sales and Customer Success in deal closures and customer retention.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product enhancements by utilizing internal resources continuously.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience in IT or software engineering roles.
- At least 2 years in IT operations encompassing systems administration, network engineering, or DevOps.
- Minimum 1 year of practical scripting or programming experience in languages such as Python, PowerShell, Java, or Groovy.
- Expertise in at least one IT domain including server systems (Windows/Linux), networking, security, storage, virtualization, or cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong familiarity with web technologies including HTTP, JSON, Regular Expressions, and REST APIs.
- Flexibility to travel between 10% and 20% of the time.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to drive productivity, innovation, or problem resolution.
