About the Role
As a Solutions Consultant at Xero, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic collaborator, working closely with the sales team to craft tailored solution designs for accounting practice partners. Your role involves transforming complex client needs into scalable workflow strategies, proactively identifying risks, and enabling client firms to achieve the greatest possible long-term value from the Xero platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and customized solution scoping in collaboration with Account Executives.
- Create and deliver compelling, tailored product demonstrations that address specific workflow challenges faced by client firms.
- Support new practice partners through cloud implementation, workflow mapping, and early phase training to encourage adoption.
- Provide expert technical assistance during sales processes, helping to resolve operational challenges and objections.
Team Structure and Collaboration
You will be part of a cooperative team of five, reporting to the Solutions Consultant Manager. The team acts as an essential link between account executives, product engineering, and external practice partners. Together, you will share market insights internally to influence product development and co-create tailored technical approaches to foster client growth.
Work Environment
The role supports a flexible hybrid working arrangement, aiming to balance connection and flexibility. Based in Auckland, you will have access to modern office facilities for collaborative sessions and team engagement, alongside options for productive work-from-home days.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Substantial operational experience within an accounting or bookkeeping practice setting.
- Proven expertise in consultative problem-solving, pre-sales, or technical solution design in complex contexts.
- Strong skills in simplifying complex concepts and delivering engaging presentations or demos to varied audiences.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms and related practice workflow software ecosystems.
- Experience or confidence in utilizing modern productivity technologies, including AI tools, to develop efficient solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, capable of managing ambiguity and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
