Solutions Architect - Microsoft Dynamics 365

About the Role

Teamware Solutions is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for a leading retail client based in Dubai, UAE. This role requires 10 to 14 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to Dynamics 365 solution/technical architecture. The successful candidate will have deep expertise across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, and Customer Engagement modules, combined with a strong grasp of enterprise architecture, Azure integration, Power Platform, and high-volume environment management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and design comprehensive Dynamics 365 solution architectures covering Finance & Operations, Commerce, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement, and connected platforms.
• Establish architectural standards, recommend best practices, and define extension and customization strategies for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Assess out-of-the-box capabilities versus custom builds and suggest cost-effective architecture approaches.
• Create detailed solution architecture documents including application design, data flows, integrations, security, deployment, and operational guidelines.
• Participate hands-on in full lifecycle D365 implementations, including configuration, customization, coding (X++, C#), data migration, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex customizations and implementation challenges ensuring alignment with architecture standards and Microsoft best practices.
• Manage data migration planning and execution using DMF/DIXF from legacy ERP/CRM to Dynamics 365.
• Architect and support high-volume, large-scale production environments serving thousands of users and extensive retail transactions.
• Drive performance tuning efforts across databases, batch jobs, APIs, queries, and system configurations.
• Design and implement strategies for high availability, scalability, data archiving, monitoring, and production support.
• Collaborate with Microsoft Support/FastTrack and internal teams to address platform and infrastructure issues.
• Develop integration architectures utilizing Azure Integration Services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and others.
• Promote Power Platform adoption (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) to extend Dynamics capabilities efficiently.
• Define technical strategies for continuous upgrades, modernization, and application lifecycle management under Microsoft One Version.
• Work closely with enterprise architects in data, infrastructure, and security to ensure cohesive technology alignment.
• Implement security designs incorporating Dynamics 365 security roles, RBAC, XDS, Microsoft Entra ID, and Single Sign-On.
• Support governance through Architecture Review Boards and maintain compliance with enterprise standards.
• Mentor development teams, functional consultants, and technical leads providing guidance in architecture and solution design.
• Maintain solution documentation including Architecture Decision Records, system diagrams, functional and technical design documents.

Candidate Profile

• 10–14 years in IT with strong background in application development, enterprise solutions, and technical architecture.
• Minimum 5 years as a Solutions Architect or Lead Technical Architect focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Proven expertise in Dynamics 365 F&O, Commerce, SCM, and Customer Engagement.
• Experience leading full D365 implementation lifecycles from inception through deployment and support.
• Familiarity with managing large-scale, high-volume Dynamics environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power Platform Admin Center.
• Strong Azure cloud experience including architecture, deployment, security, monitoring, and cost management.
• Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 integrations, API management, middleware, and event-driven designs.
• Working knowledge of X++, C#, SSRS, DMF/DIXF data migration tools, BYOD, and Data Lake exports.
• Experience in performance tuning, tracing, job optimization, monitoring, and high availability setups.
• Expertise in Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, OData, Custom APIs, Business Events, Dual-Write, Virtual Entities, and REST API development.
• Competency with Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse implementations.
• Solid understanding of D365 security frameworks and integration with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and SSO).
• Experience leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD, release management, and environment strategy.
• Proven track record supporting production environments with proactive monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational transitions.
• UAE work experience of 2+ years considered a strong advantage.

• Background in retail, e-commerce, hospitality, or supply chain sectors.
• Experience managing large multinational or enterprise-scale D365 setups.
• Engagement with Microsoft FastTrack and official support channels.
• Relevant certifications related to Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, and Power Platform.
• Insight into enterprise architecture governance, security best practices, and modernization principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft One Version strategy and application modernization initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across diverse teams and partners.
