Architect

About the Role

Teamware Solutions is seeking a seasoned Architect to join a leading enterprise client based in the UAE across diverse industries including Retail, E-commerce, Hospitality, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Technology. This senior or lead-level position requires over a decade of IT experience, with a minimum of five years devoted specifically to application or enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive enterprise solutions spanning applications, cloud platforms, data systems, integration layers, infrastructure, security protocols, and operational methodologies.
• Establish architectural frameworks covering technical patterns, APIs, integration mechanisms, scalability approaches, and modernization plans.
• Lead initiatives that promote cloud adoption, application modernization, platform consolidation, and rationalization of legacy systems.
• Architect AI-driven solutions leveraging Generative AI, AI APIs, intelligent search capabilities, automation technologies, and ensure adherence to responsible AI standards.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on architecture principles, DevOps practices, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automated testing, deployment protocols, and production readiness.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise, Integration, Infrastructure, Security, and Domain Architects to maintain architectural alignment and governance across the organization.
• Define strategies concerning security frameworks, high availability configurations, disaster recovery plans, system monitoring, and operational procedures.
• Develop detailed artifacts including solution architecture documentation, system diagrams, data flow maps, technical designs, and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in Application, Solution, or Enterprise Architecture roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in large-scale enterprise application architecture and comprehensive solution design.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including designing for scalability, security, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware solutions, messaging systems, and data integration techniques.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI technologies, AI API integration, intelligent search, automation solutions, and governance regarding AI implementations.
• Strong understanding of security concepts including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), encryption, secure API development, and application security standards.
• Experience incorporating DevOps methodologies with tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to enable CI/CD, automation, and streamlined deployment processes.
• Track record in driving application modernization, cloud adoption strategies, technical debt mitigation, and legacy system transformations.
• Insight into infrastructure management, observability platforms, high availability architectures, disaster recovery protocols, and production operations.
• Industry experience in Retail, E-commerce, Hospitality, Supply Chain, or Enterprise Business Systems is considered advantageous.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous participation in Architecture Review Boards and collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Domain Architecture teams.
• Excellent ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across business and technical teams.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, scalable enterprise platforms, and cloud transformation projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of responsible AI use, data privacy considerations, model integration, and AI solution governance frameworks.
• Expertise in producing formal architecture documentation including Solution Architecture Documents, Application and System Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Deployment Views, Technical Design Documents, and ADRs.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, engineering groups, integration and infrastructure teams, security units, vendors, and technology partners.
