Role Overview

We are urgently seeking a Solutions Architect specialized in Cards and Payments based in Dubai. The role requires between 12 to 18 years of experience and involves creating comprehensive payment solution architectures encompassing card issuance (debit, credit, prepaid, closed-loop, virtual cards), payment acquiring (POS and ATM), e-commerce, and operational processes like reconciliation and chargeback management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end payment platform architectures covering issuing, acquiring, e-commerce, and payments operations.
• Translate client business needs and regulatory constraints into clear, phased architectural strategies for target-state solutions.
• Evaluate existing client systems to formulate migration and integration plans with minimal impact on ongoing operations.
• Ensure alignment with local regulatory, scheme, and routing requirements, collaborating closely with compliance and legal teams.
• Maintain thorough understanding of the overall payment ecosystem and its components.

Requirements

• Extensive 12+ years experience in payments technology, solution architecture, or presales roles, ideally including client interaction.
• Proven expertise in designing or architecting payment platforms, particularly spanning issuing and acquiring processing systems and APIs.
• Hands-on experience in platform migration and re-platforming for systems in active production environments.
• Good understanding of payment scheme rules, relevant regulatory frameworks, and local market dynamics such as central banking regulations and domestic scheme participation.
• Preferred but not required certifications like TOGAF or PMP.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
