Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Solution Manager to join the Sales and Business Development team at Wolters Kluwer. This role centers on driving revenue growth through securing national account sales and nurturing important client relationships. The position also involves collaboration across multiple departments to identify and convert qualified sales opportunities, especially focusing on CCH iKnowConnect, an AI-powered research platform that supports tax and legal professionals by providing authoritative content and enabling faster, accurate advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new sales prospects nationally.
- Maintain ongoing contact with large or strategic customers to foster strong and lasting partnerships.
- Engage directly with clients to address account issues, respond to concerns, and consider their suggestions.
- Focus on collecting product feedback for improvements, upgrades, and developments.
- Coordinate with sales, order processing, and customer support teams to report suggestions and help develop solutions.
- Analyze marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing strategies, then report findings to management.
- Participate in conferences, events, and customer meetings as needed, including some travel.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of experience in sales or an equivalent field.
- Strong grasp of business fundamentals, financial aspects, products/services, and the market, with a reputation for expert knowledge in your industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
- Capability to independently plan territory or account strategies and efficiently manage resources.
- Proficient client engagement skills to understand and meet client needs.
- Knowledge of effective sales techniques and strategies.
- Experience in utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to analyze market data and sales metrics effectively.
- Basic negotiation skills to manage client agreements.
- Competence in managing sales projects and promotional campaigns.
- Skills to gather and act on client feedback.
- Commitment to continual learning through ongoing sales and product training.
