Solution Engineer - Google Cloud

About the Role

Pax8 is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer specialized in Google technologies to join our Australia team. This role is a unique opportunity to become a primary Google technical authority in the region, helping Managed Service Providers leverage Google Cloud, Google Workspace, Gemini, and our Pax8 technology marketplace. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with partners across the full sales lifecycle to demonstrate and deploy Google solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Channel Account Managers to support pre-sales engagements with Managed Service Providers.
• Deliver clear, engaging technical presentations demonstrating the value of Google Cloud platforms and tools.
• Assist partners post-sale with deployment, configuration guidance, and technical validation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Google solutions within Australia.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, vendor, partner, and technical teams to expand Pax8's Google capabilities.
• Develop and share enablement materials and thought leadership to build confidence and knowledge among partners.
• Continuously learn and adapt as the Google ecosystem evolves to maintain technical expertise.

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in pre-sales technical roles such as Solutions Engineer or Solution Architect.
• Demonstrated expertise with Google Cloud, Google Workspace, Gemini, or relevant Google technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms including Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Effective at communicating complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn independently and build technical knowledge.
• Collaborative team player capable of working across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Managed Service Providers, channel partners, or technology resellers is highly desirable.
• Ability to simplify complex technical ideas for partner-friendly discussions.
• Must have full-time work authorization in Australia.
