Overview

H&W Publishing seeks a seasoned IT Manager specializing in Solution Architecture to drive the design and execution of robust enterprise technology solutions. This role offers leadership across diverse technology domains including applications, data platforms, cloud services, APIs, integration strategies, and digital transformation, ensuring alignment with security protocols, governance, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive design and implementation of enterprise-grade web, mobile, and API-first solutions.
• Develop scalable, modular, reusable, secure, and high-performing architectures.
• Select suitable technology stacks based on business requirements, scalability, security, and sustainability considerations.
• Architect modern solutions utilizing microservices, containerization, serverless frameworks, and cloud-native services.
• Formulate API strategies, integration architecture, and reusable integration patterns that span enterprise systems.
• Design data infrastructures including platforms, warehouses, pipelines to support analytics and BI needs.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, uptime, observability, and resilience.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for critical IT projects and transformation programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Governance, Cybersecurity, QA, Data, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, security vulnerabilities, and scalability challenges; propose mitigation approaches.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, data governance, and quality assurances.
• Drive digital transformation through modernization efforts, automation, cloud adoption, and innovative technology solutions.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, reference models, principles, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
• Present architectural decisions to review boards, executives, delivery teams, and stakeholders.
• Mentor developers, solution designers, technical leads, and junior architects on current application and data technology trends.
• Partner with business units to translate strategic objectives into scalable technology solutions.
• Support Agile and SAFe teams throughout all phases of solution lifecycle.
• Continuously research emerging technologies to boost efficiency, scalability, security, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of IT experience with significant focus on enterprise and solution architecture roles.
• Proven track record in delivering expansive enterprise application, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
• Expertise with Oracle Fusion and SAP HANA or similar enterprise ERP systems.
• Proficient in application frameworks such as .NET Core, Java Spring, Node.js or equivalents.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, event-driven systems, containerization, and contemporary integration patterns.
• Experience with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and current software delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise data security, privacy protocols, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Solid grasp of Agile and SAFe methodologies, digital transformation principles, and enterprise modernization strategies.
• Excellent communication skills including architectural documentation, presentations, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical thinker with structured design methods and creative problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and promote adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
• TOGAF or comparable architecture certification is a plus.
