Role Overview

We are looking for a Solution and Technology Architect specialized in the Airline domain for a one-year extendable contract based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires onsite presence and involves collaborating within an assigned value stream to design solution architectures for airline domains including Commercial, Customer, Digital, Cargo, Airport, Engineering, and other enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage comprehensive and integrated solutions for specific business areas aligned with architecture standards, regulatory requirements, business needs, budgets, and IT strategies.
• Create solution intents and detailed design documents like Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Control Matrices (ICMs), while contributing to design patterns and standards within the value stream.
• Develop solution architectures supporting both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, prioritizing innovation, cost-effectiveness, strategic alignment, and rapid deployment.
• Ensure the application of solution and technology architecture standards and governance in line with the client's Well Architected Framework.
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders within Digital Technology & Innovation to confirm solution alignment with technology roadmaps, business capabilities, and organizational strategy.
• Participate in evaluating and adopting emerging technologies that enhance business value delivery.
• Enhance architecture practice maturity by consistently applying approved architectural patterns, policies, standards, and guardrails.
• Support the ongoing maintenance and updates to the business capability model to reflect current needs.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience specializing in designing enterprise-grade solutions as a Solution or Technology Architect.
• Proficiency with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices, and integration methodologies, preferably within the Airline domain.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle using traditional and Agile frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields preferred.
• Relevant certifications like Well Architected Framework, SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, or ISEB Architecture are advantageous.
• Knowledge of airline-specific systems and operations such as Passenger Service Systems (PSS), airline and airport operations, cargo management, engineering, and enterprise domains.
• Experience or exposure to SAFe Agile and other software development methodologies preferred.
