About the Role

Enervia Innovations (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., branded as Solar Bunker, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Technician/Engineer to become the technical cornerstone of their renewable energy startup based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This role involves understanding client solar needs, assessing existing electrical and solar installations, designing tailored solutions, selecting appropriate equipment, and providing expert guidance to sales and execution teams. The focus is primarily on Solar PV, Hybrid Systems, Battery Energy Storage, and Electrical Energy Solutions, with opportunities to engage with other renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements and existing solar/electrical setups.
• Create on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar system designs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Design and size battery energy storage systems based on load, backup needs, and system design.
• Select suitable solar modules, inverters, hybrid inverters, batteries, and electrical protection equipment.
• Ensure compatibility between components like inverters and batteries.
• Perform calculations such as PV string sizing, inverter sizing, battery sizing, and other electrical analyses.
• Develop or review system layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specs.
• Offer technical support and solution advice to the sales team.
• Engage with customers on complex technical issues.
• Provide technical direction to installation and commissioning teams.
• Troubleshoot problems related to solar systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical components.
• Review technical documentation for new products and technologies.
• Ensure solutions are technically viable, safe, compatible, and commercially feasible.
• Keep updated on advancements in solar, battery storage, hybrid systems, and other renewable tech.
• Expand technical knowledge into areas like wind energy, EV charging, and energy management systems.

Core Expertise Required

• Strong practical knowledge of solar PV system design and installation.
• Hands-on experience with on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems.
• Familiarity with solar and hybrid inverters.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion and LiFePO4 battery systems including battery management systems (BMS).
• Battery sizing and energy storage applications expertise.
• Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Experience with PV string configuration and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) principles.
• Competence in AC/DC electrical protection and ensuring system safety.
• Grid integration and zero-export solution experience.
• Electrical load assessment and energy calculation skills.
• System troubleshooting and commissioning capabilities.

Candidate Profile

Educational qualifications preferred include Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related fields. Candidates with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in solar EPC, system design, hybrid/off-grid systems, battery storage, inverter applications, electrical engineering, or renewable energy solutions are ideal. Practical skill and familiarity with electricity boards may allow consideration beyond formal education.

Salary

The position offers a monthly compensation ranging from INR 12,000 to INR 25,000.
