Solar Technician

About the Role

This role focuses on the installation, servicing, and maintenance of solar energy systems within the renewable energy sector. The technician will work hands-on with solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical components, primarily in the field according to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission solar power equipment and systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance and service checks on solar installations.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting solar and electrical systems through troubleshooting.
• Handle electrical wiring, connections, and perform necessary equipment testing.
• Carry out site visits for installation, repair, and upkeep of solar setups.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and correct installation protocols.
• Document maintenance activities and provide progress reports to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Possess ITI or Diploma qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, or relevant technical fields.
• Experience ranging from none to up to 3 years in solar installation or electrical maintenance is desirable.
• Fresh candidates with appropriate technical education and hands-on understanding are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring, tools, and related equipment is essential.
• Preference given to those experienced in solar equipment installation, inverter maintenance, or electrical servicing.
• Must be willing and able to travel locally and perform field work.

Required Skills

• Basic skills in electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
• Comprehension of solar power components including panels and inverters.
• Proficiency in using electrical instruments and testing devices.
• Strong analytical skills for problem diagnosis and resolution.
