Overview
We are searching for a meticulous and analytically minded Software QA Analyst dedicated to ensuring software products meet functional, technical, and business standards. The perfect candidate will possess a solid understanding of QA principles, excellent problem-solving aptitude, and skills in requirement analysis, test scenario creation, defect identification, and effective communication of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine business requirements, user stories, and technical documents to pinpoint testing necessities.
- Create and update comprehensive test plans, test cases, scenarios, and related documentation.
- Conduct both manual and automated tests across multiple software products and environments.
- Perform diverse testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory.
- Detect, reproduce, record, and monitor software defects accurately.
- Investigate defects and supply detailed insights for swift resolution.
- Retest fixes and execute regression tests to verify no new issues are introduced.
- Confirm software functionality aligns with all business and technical demands.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other team members during the entire software development lifecycle.
- Conduct testing across various browsers, platforms, and devices when necessary.
- Maintain precise records of testing outcomes, defects, coverage, and QA efforts.
- Track testing status and report quality risks, issues, and provide recommendations.
- Take part in release validations and readiness checks.
- Assist user acceptance testing and validate production environments as needed.
- Analyze repetitive defects to identify areas for quality improvement.
- Contribute to enhancing QA processes, standards, and documentation consistently.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance and testing methods.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience developing and executing detailed test cases and scenarios.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and document defects thoroughly.
- Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools.
- Understanding of various testing techniques including functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory.
- Awareness of web applications, APIs, databases, and fundamental SQL is advantageous.
- Knowledge of automated testing principles and tools is a plus.
- High attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled at translating technical and business requirements into effective tests.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple testing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Can work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.
Requirements
- Prior experience in software quality assurance, testing, or QA analysis roles.
- Proven ability to analyze requirements and formulate test cases and scenarios.
- Practical experience executing manual testing.
- Traceable background in defect identification, documentation, and tracking.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Hands-on exposure to functional and regression testing.
- Understanding of software development processes and release management.
- Experience working with web or software applications.
- Strong general computer and digital literacy skills.
- Effective communicator of technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to function accurately and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable internet access and proper home office setup for remote work.
- Professional mindset, analytical nature, reliability, and a strong focus on quality.
- English proficiency required when collaborating with English-speaking teams or working with English-language technical documents.
