Software Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and expand our core custody engineering team within Digital Assets Institutional. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dublin, Ireland, with a hybrid working model where you'll work four days onsite and one day remotely each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team, starting with 12 members and expanding to 16.
• Take ownership of engineering delivery and technology strategy for Core Custody applications.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership.
• Develop and maintain high-performing engineering teams, ensuring retention and capability growth.
• Manage secure, scalable cloud-based platforms while promoting modern engineering methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight without direct daily hands-on involvement.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of seven years in software engineering roles.
• At least five years of experience managing engineering teams directly.
• Strong foundation in software development and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or familiarity with .NET and C# is also acceptable.
• Experience working with AWS or Azure, microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud engineering techniques.
• Proven capability in managing distributed teams.
• Background in Financial Services or Digital Assets is a plus but not mandatory.
