Software Engineer / Platform Engineer (OpenShift/Kubernetes Specialist)

Overview

This role focuses on designing, engineering, and automating OpenShift clusters, with an emphasis on treating infrastructure as code. The position involves improving the lifecycle management of container platforms by developing automation tools, ensuring high availability, and implementing GitOps workflows for effective configuration management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and automate the entire lifecycle of OpenShift clusters, handling infrastructure as software to enhance operational efficiencies.
• Create reliable automation processes for provisioning, upgrading, and scaling clusters using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python.
• Deploy and maintain OpenShift components including OVN-Kubernetes networking and OpenShift Data Foundation storage solutions.
• Enhance platform reliability and performance to achieve consistent high availability for container environments.
• Adopt GitOps methodologies to manage cluster configurations systematically and securely.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of intermediate-level experience related to the role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes internals.
• Strong scripting and automation skills predominantly in Bash or Python.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with storage technologies like Ceph or OpenShift Data Foundation and software-defined networking including OVN in containerized setups.
• Familiar with GitOps workflows and toolsets.
