Software Engineer - Low Level (C++)

Role Overview

Hudson River Trading seeks talented engineers to support our expansion into global markets from our Singapore office. In this position, you will be instrumental in launching HRT's trading operations across Asia-Pacific regions. Working closely with algorithm and operations teams, you will help enhance the profitability and efficiency of trading in both new and existing markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both the technical and strategic aspects of HRT's global trading activities, directly impacting business results.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about coding, exploring technology, troubleshooting, and constantly curious about computing.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Capable of independent problem solving and effective teamwork collaboration.
• Skilled at quickly diagnosing and resolving software issues.
• Ability to understand and improve existing codebases.
• Competent in articulating software design from high-level abstractions to detailed implementation steps.
• Enjoys working with peers who stimulate growth and challenge perspectives.

Essential Qualifications

• Proficient in C++ programming.
• Experience with UNIX operating systems and command line interfaces.
• Fluent in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks autonomously.
• Experience in developing market data and order management systems is an advantage.
