Software Engineer III

Overview

We seek a skilled and motivated software engineer eager to join an agile product development team focused on creating secure, efficient, dependable, and thoroughly tested software solutions in a complex domain area. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality software development, collaboration, and mentoring others while remaining hands-on with coding. You will contribute to an industry-leading platform and innovative products, enhancing both software and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with product and platform stakeholders, including Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering Managers, to refine backlogs and guide product and platform development.
• Design and implement complex features and services using agile methodologies prioritizing security, performance, and reliability.
• Encourage and inspire peers and junior engineers toward exceptional software delivery standards.
• Coach and guide others in design principles, coding practices, and software delivery techniques.
• Identify opportunities to create and improve engineering processes, introducing new testing tools and best practices where needed.
• Establish and uphold organizational best practices and standards alongside senior engineers.
• Embody company core values such as rationality, collegiality, and integrity.
• Promote a culture of curiosity and innovation with thoughtful adoption of AI technologies and data-driven enhancements.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in Core Java development.
• A proven track record of successful, high-quality software delivery.
• Expertise in widely accepted software design patterns.
• Experience designing complex features or services collaboratively with small, empowered, cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with agile software development practices, including Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and pair programming.
• Hands-on expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, JUnit, Karate, TestCafe, JaCoCo, and SonarQube.
• Familiarity with additional programming and scripting languages such as Kotlin, Python, and bash.
• Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and apply them creatively to engineering challenges.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and mentoring others with empathy and accountability.
• Experience enhancing software delivery processes for continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation capabilities.
• Hands-on approach to designing and coding solutions.
• Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn and improve constantly.
• Experience building web services using SOAP and REST.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
• Openness to embrace AI technologies and utilize data-driven insights to innovate and improve productivity.
