Job Overview

Join JPMorganChase as a Software Engineer III within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Payments Technology division. In this role, you will be a vital contributor to an agile team focused on designing and implementing secure, scalable, and stable technology solutions that support the organization's core business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software solutions, including design, debugging, and troubleshooting, employing innovative approaches beyond standard methods.
• Produce secure, high-caliber production code, review peers' code, and address code defects efficiently.
• Utilize enterprise-sanctioned AI-assisted coding tools to enhance code quality, accelerate delivery, and boost productivity on complex projects; validate AI-generated outputs through peer assessment and automated testing.
• Implement Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools incorporating AI and automation to increase operational efficiencies.
• Identify and automate resolutions of recurring issues to enhance software application stability.
• Lead software engineering communities to promote awareness and adoption of state-of-the-art technologies.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields is mandatory.
• At least five years of hands-on software development experience.
• Expertise in Java programming with Spring Boot framework.
• Practical experience with system design, comprehensive application development, thorough testing, and ensuring operational reliability.
• Deep familiarity with all SDLC facets, software engineering best practices, and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resilience, security, and automation techniques.
• Demonstrated skills in technical software processes, including cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
• Experience managing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that require efficient system integration and communication.
• Proven troubleshooting aptitude and capacity to assist end-users effectively.
• Experience employing enterprise-approved AI-based development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, coupled with the ability to assess and refine AI outputs critically.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering procedures, including data sensitivity, security handling, and adherence to resilience standards; capability to mentor peers on best practices regarding AI in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience with on-premises and/or public cloud infrastructures.
